Hail to the Redskins! Hail! Victory!! Braves on the warpath! Fight for all DC! Mumble mumble mumble I don’t know these words. Mumble mumble mumble pretending some more. Fight on! Fight on! Til you have won! Sons of WA-SHING-TON! RAH RAH RAH! ::Repeat:: Prior to today, this was my understanding of the Redskins fight song, the only change today is that I know it’s “Fight for old DC!” After each of our four touchdowns they played the fight song, here’s footage of one for your cheering pleasure:
Today I went to see the Redskins vs the Eagles @home and wowee it was a good time. In addition to it being my first regular season game ever it was also my first time tailgating – folks I’ve found a new love. We arrived around 10am for the 1pm game and the parking lots were already nearly full and set up with tailgaters. Rows of tents, barbecues, games, and beer – brings a tear to my eye. And the air, smells of charcoal, grilled meat, and fall. I wish I had a good photo of the parking lot to show you, but no photo would do it justice. For my first tailgate we went simple with hotdogs, brats, and chips. But I am very much inspired to go bigger and better next year.
And who doesn’t love being on TV? Thanks to my father-in-law and his friend for hooking us up with tickets to a great game 🙂
After all these years of marriage to that boy and you don’t know the fight song yet 🙂
