We do hate Dallas fans! DC has tons of great clubs, but from time to time I get sick of the uppity people, overpriced drinks, getting dressed up in heels and having to truck it back to Ashburn. Bobby McKey’s piano bar is a nice change. McKey’s is located in the National Harbor, a brand spankin new development across the Potomac from Old Town Alexandria in Maryland. A very cute place with shops, restaurants, and condos.
They had jello shooters from “syringes” but were out by the time we ordered so we had buttery nipples, wow they were strong.
The piano players were amazing, they played a HUGE variety of songs, from top 40 to 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. They sing, they play piano, they interact with the audience, very entertaining. I even sang along a few times 🙂 The McKey’s crowd is a good mix of ages from 20s up to 50s.
Totally starstruck, I didn’t get to meet him in person but Kermit the frog made a cameo. McKey’s now charges a $10 cover, get there a little early to get a seat otherwise you will be standing. A fun night out for sure.
